Last Friday I went to Disneyland with Edwin, my sister, and a few of our friends. We had two June birthdays in our group; what better place to celebrate than with some Disney magic? And, what better piece to wear than my train border print Jenny skirt from Pinup Girl Clothing? I was so lucky to score this skirt at the PUG Yard Sale a few weeks ago! I had it taken up 3" to hit just below my knee and now it's perfect. I'm glad there was about 6" of fabric below the lowest part of the print so hemming it didn't cause the print to come too close to the edge. Ideally, these pictures would have been taken in front of the castle in Fantasyland, but the lighting wasn't great at the time we there so I had them taken here, in front of people's strollers... at least the lighting was nice!

It's so much fun spinning in this skirt :). And I just love the details of the print. This was my first purchase from the Mary Blair collection and I want all the different prints now.

One of the great things about Disneyland is the whole magical Disney vibe everywhere you go. The rides, the shows, the characters, the shops, the food, it's difficult to feel anything but happy! Right now Disneyland is celebrating their 60th diamond anniversary so a lot of the attractions are special edition, such as the beautiful "Paint the Night" Electrical Parade that we ended our day with. Even though we were exhausted by the end, I had an absolute blast and can't wait to go back again.
Do you have anything fun planned for this summer?
Ahhh love this outfit on you! So fun & colourful. Companies just don't make enough yellow dresses and skirts!
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is so cute, I love that yellow colour. Such fun photos Serli! :)
ReplyDeleteI have to hem most of my PUG items as well! They're always so long! Looks fabulous on you, though. What a perfect Disney outfit!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! I'm thinking of getting something with the Mary Blair prints, too - possibly the parasols. I love seeing the California bloggers and Instagrammers I follow having a blast at Disneyland! Makes me want to take a trip!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it matters where you took your photos as the outfit is just gorgeous anywhere! I can think of no greater place to celebrate then Disneyland! I am so jealous! That skirt is just perfect and I am so happy you were able to hem it without ruining that adorable print. Your ears are the perfect finishing touch!

Those Mary Blair prints are addicting, huh? ;) Glad you went with this choice to Disney...you look amazing and the way you styled it is perfection! Forever jealous of you ladies who live so close to the 'Happiest Place on Earth.' I've been a little slow at responding to comments (I blame the heat melting my brain haha) but I have been eyeballing them...yes, I will FOR SURE let you know when this LA trip of mine finally happens! I'm SO glad you went with the train print - absolutely perfection! I've been itching for a Disney trip, mostly because I want to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Hopefully once my schedule settles down I will be able to plan something. I'm so glad you had a fantastic time, and I will catch up on your other posts that I have missed tomorrow, because it is bedtime for this girl. (I just couldn't close down my computer without commenting how fabulous you looked in all of your photos!) <3

Wow, talk about bright and happy! Your outfit reminds me of something that my mother would like: and I do mean that in the nicest way, because she loves wearing yellow and bright, happy colors!

So adorable! That skirt is magical with the little cardigan. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am so much in love with Disneyland for-like you said-the magic of it all! It is a place where you can be instantly happy! It must be nice to live in a place that is super accessible to Disneyland! Anyway, I love your skirt so much. I bet people thought you looked like one of the Disney princesses as well :)
