Winter Wonderland

It's been a crazy two weeks! Edwin came back from San Diego for holiday vacation about two weeks ago and we've been trying to take advantage of every day together planning activities and outings with friends. I've also taken a few days off from work for the holidays. I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my family and New Year's with Edwin and a few friends. It all passed so fast! We have one more event coming up before the holidays are officially over: "Armenian Christmas" on January 6th. On the evening of January 5th, we will be going to a family friend's home for Christmas Eve dinner. There is historical background as to why Christmas Day is celebrated on January 6th in Armenia (though in America, Armenian-Americans get together for Christmas Eve dinner on both December 24th and January 5th). If you're interested, you can read more about its history and the types of dishes prepared for dinner here and here.

As mentioned in my last post, Edwin got me this b-e-a-utiful Bernie Dexter dress in the Winter Wonderland print as my Christmas gift this year. I wore it both on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I love it so much and because it's a seasonal dress, I am trying to wear it on as many occasions as possible while I can :). I'm sharing a few photos of my outfit from Christmas Day. I switched out the white belt the dress came with for a gold bow-belt to match my gold headband and shoes.

Outfit Details:
Dress: Bernie Dexter
Petticoat: Leg Avenue
Belt: Sidecca
Shoes: Qupid
Necklace: Forever 21
Cardigan (shown in some photos): Unique Vintage

It doesn't look like it, but it was SO cold the day we were taking these pictures that we would run back to the car every few minutes to warm up and come back out to take more pictures! For us Southern Californians, 35 degrees Fahrenheit is freezing...

What did you wear on Christmas this year? I'd love to know! I hope everyone has a blessed Sunday :).

  4. This is seriously the perfect Christmas dress and I'm glad to see so many other bloggers wearing it! I love it with the gold accents, too. I WISH I considered 35 to be frigid... but sadly... it's gonna be 17 degrees here this week :( I hope you had a wonderful holiday!

    1. Thanks, Sammi! You looked pretty amazing yourself in the long-sleeve version of this dress! I'm pretty sure I'd turn into an icicle at 17 degrees...

  6. Super cute! Like you, I tried to wear all my "Christmas" prints as much as possible. If you lived in New England, you'd probably get away with wearing this adorable Bernie until March - since we have snowy winters through March and April even! ;)

    1. The only way I'd tolerate living in a colder area is so I can wear this dress more often... ;) Thanks, SaraLily!

  8. Gah, this dress is really a beauty and so perfect for Christmas! Loving how dainty and pretty the accessories are as well. Now I'm only wishing it was 35 degrees here (or much higher actually) - I'm moping around with the negative degree windchill we've had. On Christmas I wore a green 60s sheath dress I found out an antique mall and my gnome heeled shoes from Irregular Choice :-) Happy New Year Serli!

    1. Negative degrees, that's brutal! I'm way too spoiled living in SoCal, 35 degrees would be like the North Pole to me! Your Christmas outfit sounds beautiful! I still need to get my hands on some Irregular Choice ;) Happy New Year, Marisa!

  9. *Squeal, eeeeeppp, ahhhh, ooohhhh* Sorry, I can't help myself, this is one of my top five favourite BD dresses ever and each time I see a fellow blogger sporting it, my heart skips several beats, my knees turn to jelly, and my credit card is suddenly in grave danger. :D

Seriously though, it's a stunning frock and one that looks nothing short of beguilingly beautiful on you, dear gal!
